This post is to say “THANKS HEAPS” to the Sabre folk from East Fremantle Yacht Club and Perth Dinghy Sailing Club. I was shown enormous hospitality at both clubs when I visited there recently. At both clubs a boat was made available for me to sail and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The first WA Sabre States were held and I was fortunate to be able to take part in that.
The enthusiasm in WA is outstanding and the fleet is growing at a phenomenal rate. The association here will be well placed to hold an excellent National regatta in 2013/14. Matilda Bay in Perth is an ideal venue and in summer the ‘Fremantle Doctor’ can generally be relied upon to give the necessary impetus to racing.
Glad to hear you had a great time in the wild west…Thank you for your very complimentary comments.
We welcome any Sabre sailors to join us at any time for our hospitality.
Planning is well under way for the National Championships here in Perth.
