ok so i have now got 1015 home ( i think it was called summer wind)… i am glad i dont have to re deck the boat.. However the owner before me thought it would be a great idea to sand off gel coat and into glass on the underside of the hull.. In some places now its just the foam.
Can someone please help me with the best way to fix this.
I am thinking i will have to fair the hull back up with west, then put a sheet of glass over the top.. I am very worried about adding to much weight to the boat.
any help would be great
Thanks
I looked at getting this boat, the hull was not sanded back even, and when re-glassed you would have to fill them in in order to get a smooth hull.
I think you use fibreglass cloth + epoxy, then sand back the cloth to make it smooth.
Weight is the least of your problems
