EXCITEMENT IN THE SUNSHINE STATE

The Qld sailing season has started!

Last weekend it was VERY windy – the RQYS Sabre started but did not finish. SYC also started. Both clubs have traditional opening ceremonies.

This weekend CYC have a 2-race Redlands Festival regatta to start the season. I’ll be there.

Frances at RQYS is going to get a new boat – her husband Ian is building ot for her.
Jonathon at CYC is building a new boat.
Peter at Maroochy is building a Sabre for his son.
Will John Nobbs have his new boat on the water for this weekend? Must be close!

Two weeks ago, Anne and Sue went to South Brisbane SC to join in with their club race and launch of new rescue craft – well – Anne had her photo taken with the Qld Premier Anna Bligh. Yes – we have Anne, Anna and Go-Anna (Sabre 1701) all in one photo. Anne is quite chuffed about this.
