Two heats of the NSW Sabre Championship will be held in Canberra as part of the ACT dinghy championship. The details of the event are as follows:
Saturday 26 November 2005 to Sunday 27 November 2005
Organising Authority – The YMCA Sailing Club of Canberra in conjunction with Yachting ACT
Venue: Yarralumla Bay, Lake Burley Griffin, ACT
NOTICE OF RACE
1 RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 The Prescriptions and Special Regulations of Yachting Australia will apply.
1.3 Racing rules 32, 33, 35, 44 and A4.1will be changed as follows:
The changes will appear in full in the sailing instructions.
2 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
The regatta is open to all “Off-the-Beach” dinghies.
3 CLASSIFICATION
The ISAF Sailor Classification Code will apply.
4 FEES
The required entry fee for skippers under 18 years of age is $25. The required entry fee for all other sailors is $40
5 SCHEDULE
5.1 Registration:
Saturday 26 November 2005 From 8.00am To 9.30am
5.2 Dates of racing and the time of the warning signal are:
Race 1 10.30 am Saturday 26 November 2005
Race 2 2.00 pm Saturday 26 November 2005
Race 3 immediately after Race 2 and no later than 4.30 pm Saturday 26 November 2005
Race 4 10.00 am Sunday 27 November 2005
Race 5 2.00 pm Sunday 27 November 2005
Race 6 immediately after Race 5 and no later than 4.00 pm Sunday 27 November 2005
6 MEASUREMENTS
Measurement is not required but each boat may be required to submit proof of holding a valid measurement certificate.
7 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available at registration.
8 VENUE
The racing area will be the West Lake part of Lake Burley Griffin.
9 THE COURSES
The courses to be sailed will be described in the Sailing Instructions.
