The Strong Wind Warning may have been cancelled but Race 7 was sailed in “blustery” South Easterly 20 to 25 knot winds with gusts reaching 27 knots at times and rough seas adding to the excitement of the day, there were thrills and spills throughout the race with 38 boats finishing out of the 46 starters. Scott Olsen won the race, Peter Hackett was 2nd and Craig McPhee came in 3rd. Race 8 was postponed till Friday so there is a change to Sailing Instructions 2 short courses starting 10.30 hours 4/01/13, check RQYS microsite for changes. Tomorrows forecast is… Winds: S to SE 15 to 20 knots tending E to SE during the day. Seas: 0.9 to 1.0 metre
