The Sabre Association holds National Titles every year around the Christmas period.
National titles provide an opportunity for all Sailors to get together across the various states to test their skills and compete for a national title.
However besides winning the big prize, the national titles provide far more benefit to the sailors.
This includes:-
- Sharing knowledge from other Sabre communities
- Making new friends from other Sabre communities
- Providing big fleet racing for competitors
- Providing a great event away for family and competitors alike
- An opportunity to catch up with old friends and other sailors
- Travel to new sailing locations
The Sabre nationals is more than just a sailing event and aligns strongly to the social values of the class.
All events generally have as a minimum a wecolme night and presentation dinner.
In addition to this, a number of other get togethers, sponsor nights or other events can also be incorporated to ensure sailors get together on multiple occasions.
Nationals are cycled across a different state each year.
