On Sunday 4th October, 9 Sabres arrived at Safety Bay Yacht Club (Rockingham) to help celebrate and participate in their opening day.
We had representation from PDSC, EFYC and 2 local boats
WInd was 15 – 20 knots – plenty of hiking, down wind surfing (great waves) and very fast reaching – perfect course.

Big thanks to Craig Nyland and Commodore Anthony Saw for organising a great afternoons sailing followed by drinks and Pizza.
Thanks to everyone for making the effort to support this club – Bob, Peter, Clayton, Paul, Tony (Welcome to Sabre World), Craig, Carl, Louis and brilliant to see Graham Hill down there with Teri.
We wish them well going forward and look forward to seeing their Sabre fleet flourish.
As SBYC race on Sundays it gives those of us with Saturday club racing the opportunity to practice on the ocean.
All agreed that it is a great place to sail and will endeavour to get back throughout the season.
They are having a regatta on Australia Day – last year this attracted over 70 boats so I would encourage you to put it in the diary and try and get down.
